Beautifully finished with red and black anodized components, the MAST-R-LIFT is the sequel to our original ROUT-R-LIFT. Precision machined in premium 6061 aluminum, this is the top of the line for JessEm's lift systems. Designed for top cabinetmakers, furnituremakers and other custom woodworking professionals, the MAST-R-LIFT is built for long-term professional use. Featuring a more streamlined design and increased performance with a full 3-3/4" of vertical travel. The insert plate is precision-machined from a solid 1" thick aluminum blank. Our new speed crank design offers a tall handle for clearing the top of the fence while making adjustments. Designed specifically for the Porter Cable 7518 and to fit similar cylindrical motor housings with the use of a reducer collar. The insert plate centerhole is machined to accept up to a 3-1/2" raised panel bit and includes a 1-1/2" insert ring. Additional insert rings sets are available separately. Available in 9 - 1/4" x 11 - 3/4" or 8-1/4" x 11-3/4" plate sizes. Insert plate is machined with a 3-5/8" diameter TAB-LOC centerhole. Built in plate leveling and insert adjusters for a perfect fit. As many woodworkers already know, multi-base router kits are becoming extremely popular today. Now the traditional fixed base router with a removeable motor has evolved into various kit options that include an interchangeable router motor, a fixed base, a plunge base and some manufacturers have also added a "D" base option. The JessEm Mast-R-Lift was originally designed to be used with the removeable 3HP motor from a fixed base Porter Cable 7518. Then we offered adapter collars for the smaller 2HP motor diameters to fit our Mast-R-Lift's carriage. The problem for many 2HP router users has been the cost of a Mast-R-Lift plus the adapter collar exceeds the price of their 2HP router. The top is edge banded for long life. The table comes standard with corner and side levelling pads. Each corner levelling pad is designed with tapped brass inserts which allow for (2) levelling set screws. The levelling set screws can be adjusted with a hex key from the bottom of the table. Each levelling set screw is provided with a jam nut to secure the set screw at the proper height. JessEm sets pretty high standards when we develop a new tool. The New Mast-R-Lift II adheres to those strong principles. The Mast-R-Lift II has 5 double sealed bearings, providing a lifetime of use even with the heaviest of routers. All of JessEm's lifts have the patented feature of adding tension to the threaded spindle to remove backlash, vibration, and preventing setting changes while routing. JessEm went one step further with the Mast-R-Lift II. A new dedicated locking mechanism for heavy duty, long term routing operations was added, accessible from the top of the top surface and is engaged with the same crank handle used to raise and lower the Lift. The Mast-R-Lift II also fits most fixed base routers on the market today without the use of an adaptor collar. The unique clamping blocks on the Mast-R-Lift II enable users to use different fixed base routers with the Lift as opposed to dedicating a router. All of our top plates on our Lifts are hard anodized. This process is several times more expensive but we want the Mast-R-Lift II to provide many years of service. Hard anodizing is an engineered surface treatment and not just a cosmetic sulphuric treatment that will wear off. The shafts on the Mast-R-Lift II, like all of JessEm's Lifts are pressed into a shaft mount with hydraulic pressure. We don't just thread our shafts to the top plate.
